A big change to the site this week as the parking lot was paved. This helps with dust control and overall cleanliness of the site. Asphalt is put into place at 300 degrees Fahrenheit and then compacted as it cools. Imagine 100 degrees beating down from above and 300 degrees from below… We love our asphalt teams.
We also started with the exterior finish on the building this week. The scaffold started going up and having the asphalt in place provides a much safer foundation for the scaffold. A fresh new stucco exterior is coming in the next couple weeks and the Western State Bank building start to make its visible transformation.
As the stucco ramps up for production on the outside we are starting to see a lot of progress on the inside. We are getting inspections passed and walls closed up. We are about ready for paint which will lead into doors, windows, and flooring. Stay tuned.
